Margaret McShane Pendergast is new Highlands at Wyomissing board member

The Highlands at Wyomissing, a continuing-care retirement community, appointed Margaret “Midge” McShane Pendergast as a member to the board of directors.

Pendergast, who lives in Wyomissing, is a consultant for the department of psychiatry at Reading Health System.

She is a self-employed state-licensed psychologist, having worked for several school districts.

Pendergast graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelor’s degree, received her certification as a school psychologist at Millersville University and received her certification as supervisor of pupil services at Weidner University.

She continued her education at Kutztown University with a master’s in education and received her Ph.D. from Temple University.
