The Board of Directors of GoggleWorks Center for the Arts is pleased to announce the appointment of Wendy Kershner as GoggleWorks' Interim Executive Director, effective November 1.

Kershner brings 18 years of experience in corporate management and serves as principal of Axia Marketing - a local consulting firm that works with organizations who want to re-imagine and streamline their marketing efforts - which she founded in 2002.

She has successfully led large creative teams at Aetna and Vanguard, and her brand experience also includes Andrew Lloyd Webber, Walt Disney and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Most recently, she served as interim marketing/pr manager at the GoggleWorks.

Born and raised in Wyomissing, PA., Kershner received her B.A. Fine Arts at Trinity College in Hartford, CT., and is an artist trained in intaglio printmaking.

" We are pleased that Wendy has accepted the Interim Executive Director position at GoggleWorks. Wendy's familiarity with GoggleWorks, its staff, and the local community will ensure a smooth transition," says Paul Cohn, Board President.

"We'd also like to thank our former Executive Director, Phil Walz, for his service at GoggleWorks and wish him the best as he pursues other opportunities."

Kershner will be overseeing the day-to-day operations and working with the board while a national search is conducted for a permanent Executive Director.

GoggleWorks has begun the search process and is optimistic that a new Executive Director will be on board by the end of the first quarter of 2016. More information can be found here.
