BCTV Names Washington as Technician

Berks Community Television is pleased to announce that Tyler Washington has been named Technician, effective January 3.

“We are excited to welcome Tyler to our full time staff.  His talent really shined during his internship with us and we are confident that he will bring additional creativity, skills, and energy to our organization.  It’s great to find local talent that believes in our mission and can help us grow and develop.” said Heather Adams, Executive Director.

In this role, Washington will develop and manage the volunteer and internship programs, and serve as a studio technician facilitating the telecast of programming on BCTV and the government access channel both on-site and off-site.

“Joining BCTV as a staff member will be a great way to start off the new year. I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to work for an organization I have gotten to know and care about over the last several years. I am sure great times are ahead,” Washington said.

Tyler was an intern at BCTV in 2016, and has continued on as a regular studio volunteer. A graduate of Indiana University of PA, Washington was active in the IUP television studio, and before that in the Reading High School television studio. He enjoys tennis and is a regular volunteer for the City of Reading Tennis program.

He currently resides in Reading.
