ANNVILLE, Pa. – Albright College women’s lacrosse senior goalie Hayley Joyce earned MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season, announced on Monday by the conference.
Joyce finished the week with 12 saves on 37 shots and a 7.94 goals against average to lead the Lions to a pair of conference wins over Widener and Lebanon Valley. She opened the week making eight saves on 21 shots while allowing just nine goals in 58 minutes of play in a 17-11 win over Widener. Joyce then made four saves on 16 shots in a thrilling 10-9 triple-overtime win over Lebanon Valley on Senior Day, giving the Dutchmen their first conference loss of the season.
Albright returns to action on Thursday, April 13 on the road against Hood at 4 p.m.
