Fightin Phils Announce Updates to America’s Classic Ballpark

The Fightin Phils are announcing some new features that have been added to FirstEnergy Stadium will be ready for opening day. These new assets will be added this season that will enhance the fan experience at America’s Classic Ballpark.

The Savage 61 Dugout Suite has been expanded to the Savage 61 RAM Club Box which is located adjacent to the Dugout Suite, next to the Fightins Bull Pen. This Savage 61 RAM Club features padded seats in the first two rows from the field. There is also a tray space between each pair of seats, allowing for waitress service. Like the Savage 61 Dugout Suite, fans in the Savage 61 RAM Club Box will be order via waitress service and have their food and drink brought to their seat all game long!

In addition to the expansion, there is a new net installation behind home plate. The new net was manufactured by the same company that created the one that is used in Wrigley Field. The net’s technology allows fans to experience a better view at the games with it being three times more see-through. The net has also been expanded to protect fans in Box Sections 2, 3, 7 & 8, and only the net separates the players from the fans in those sections – as the net goes all the way to the ground there. Everyone in those areas will have a better view while also being protected from foul balls.

The left field areas were renovated this offseason. Festune lights have been incorporated into Coors Light Deck to enhance the party atmosphere as you approach the area. In addition the area below the left field grandstand has been dramatically improved to accommodate groups at picnic table seating. And one of the most noticeable improvements will be for the men using the bathroom in left field. The left field men’s room has been completely overhauled, offering a more pleasant environment.

The Sly Fox Power Alley Pub located in the left center field has been completely renovated where the internal walls and drink rails have been removed. They have been replaced with a more open drink rail set up, and people will be able to enjoy a more spacious setting.

Not only has the stadium been updated for the fans but so has Phunland for the kids. An expanded photo/mascot autograph booth has been added to Phunland where fans young and old can get their photo taken and/or an autograph from the various Fightins mascots, characters, and players. New games and activities have been added to the area as well. A brand new ring toss game has been constructed into Phunland along with the all new “Peach Basket Toss Game.”

Lastly, the Yuengling Hometown Taproom has been expanded. The bar has been lengthened, and new taps have been added for more beer selections, plus the addition of mixed drinks and wine.

All upgrades are being made to create a more enjoyable overall environment for the Fightin Phils fans.
