Toastmasters Club Will Show You How You Can Turn Your Fear of Public Speaking into Power

Gilbertsville, PA. On May 2, Koinonia Speakers Toastmasters, a local chapter of Toastmasters International, will host its semi-annual open house at the New Hanover United Methodist Church, (room 205), 2211 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville, PA.  The FREE event begins at 7:00pm and is open to all.

GAIN CONFIDENCE and FIND YOUR VOICE

To many, speaking in public presents a fear greater than death.  They may break out in a cold sweat just thinking about giving a presentation – at work, in their community or in volunteer organizations.  For many, their career depends on speaking to groups.  Yet, because it terrifies them, they avoid it or do it poorly and then fail.

Open house guests have an opportunity to meet and interact with current members -novice to seasoned Toastmasters.  They’ll see and hear members demonstrate typical club activities – prepared and impromptu speeches, speech evaluations and more.  Guests will discover how they can benefit personally from the Toastmasters’ program.   For example, the program teaches you how to:

-Engage and connect with any audience,

-Overcome nervousness and anxiety,

-Use verbal and non-verbal communication skills,

-Focus your message – eliminate fillers, distractions,

-Achieve commanding executive presence, and

-Ignite your career.
