Fifth Annual Antietam Valley Street Fair

Fifth Annual Antietam Valley Street Fair

The Fifth Annual Antietam Valley Street Fair is scheduled for Saturday, June 24, 2017!

Things are hopping this summer in the Antietam Valley, and the fun continues on Saturday, June 24th with the fifth annual Antietam Valley Street Fair in Stony Creek.  This year’s fair has new vendors, new activities and fun for the whole family.  Running along Friedensburg Road from Antietam Road at Bixler’s through the 1100 Block at Melrose Avenue, the fair features over 60(!) food, craft and game vendors.  The fair begins at 11am and ends at 4pm.

This year’s activities include pony rides, live music, children’s games, jewelry and crafts, a pie eating contest, live animals, a beer tent, Ducky Race down the Antietam Creek,  and, of course, food vendors.   Proceeds from the day will go to support improvements to historic Carsonia Park in Pennside.

AVCP is a nonprofit corporation founded in 2011 to improve the quality of life in the Antietam Valley, which includes the Boroughs of Mount Penn and Saint Lawrence, the Township of Lower Alsace, and the immediate surrounding area.  AVCP is governed by a 21-member Board of Directors which includes representation from each of the three municipalities in the area, as well as the Antietam School District.

Other annual AVCP community events include free Outdoor Movies at the A-Field, the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony and Reception in Carsonia Park, Historic Trolley Tours, the Antietam Valley Farmers’ and Artists’ Market, a Community Yard Sale and Flea Market, 5K & Fun Run, the Carsonia Craft Beer Amusement, Community Dinners, and much, much more.  It’s a great time to live in the Antietam Valley!
