Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County Announces Capital Campaign Kickoff

Reading, PA — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Berks County announces the first Capital Campaign in the Agency’s history.

The goal of the $250,000 Capital Campaign is to create a safe, comfortable, inviting area for our Little Brothers and Little Sisters to socialize and participate in Big Brothers Big Sisters programs. BBBS of Berks wants to expand into a presently unused portion of its property in order to maximize its current location. To this point, all group mentoring activities have taken place in the basement of the main administrative building with the adjacent carriage house remaining vacant and unused.

The activities center project, to be funded through the Capital Campaign, will help us improve the quality of services we provide our current Little Brothers and Little Sisters. The project which originated from a Leadership Berks project includes renovations to the two floors of the carriage house and will provide activity space, a kitchen area, handicap accessibility, bathroom facilities, and more.  The Capital Campaign has been approved by the Greater Reading Chamber of Commerce Capital Campaign Review Board.
