State Police will Conduct Free Car Seat Checks

Free Car Seat Safety Checks

State troopers will be conducting a free child seat safety check up event on Thursday, June 21 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the PA State Police Barracks located on Industrial Drive in Tilden Township, Berks County.

Trained Child Sear Passenger Safety Technicians will be at the location to check child seats and booster seats to ensure that they are safely installed. Children up to 4 years of age are required to be in a properly secured Child Passenger Restraint System.  Children ages 4 to 8 years old are required to be in a properly secured Child Booster Seat.  All drivers, front seat passengers, and passengers under the age of 18 are required to be properly secured in Safety Seat Belt System when in a passenger vehicle.

Contact the PSP Hamburg station at 610-562-6885 to make an appointment or stop by the check-up event to have your Child Passenger Safety Seat checked an installed.
