Reading Health System to Host Ribbon Cutting at On-Site Pharmacy

Reading Health hosted a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of Reading Hospital Ambulatory Pharmacy. The new pharmacy is located in within the hospital’s 5th  Avenue entrance next to the Tower Café. President and CEO, Clint Matthews, will make opening remarks and guests will have the opportunity to tour the pharmacy.

The new, full service, pharmacy will be open seven days a week. Prescriptions will be able to be tracked and refilled through the pharmacies website along with the option to sign up for the text message alerts for when prescriptions are ready for refill or pickup. Patients at Reading Health will be able to have their prescriptions filled and delivered to their room before discharge. For the safety of the community the pharmacy will serve as a drop off location for unused and expired medicine to ensure proper disposal.
