RACC Awards Full Tuition Scholarships to Twenty Berks High School Graduates

Reading, PA – Reading Area Community College (RACC) is proud to announce the awarding of its 2017-2018 Presidential Scholarship for Academic Achievement to 20 Berks County public, private, and charter school graduates. This full tuition scholarship recognizes academic excellence, and is awarded annually through a selective application process to graduates who commit to fulltime enrollment in an associate degree program at RACC.

“For 45 years, RACC has been dedicated to helping students attain their higher education goals,” says RACC President Dr. Anna Weitz. “I am always delighted to announce the scholarship winners, and I am confident they will continue to be shining examples as they enter the next phase of their academic careers.”

Presidential Scholarship for Academic Achievement Class of 2017 includes: Jonathan Arnold, Muhlenberg High School; Mark Carvalho, Twin Valley High School; Yazmeen Crespo, Schuylkill Valley High School; Thanh Dinh, Wyomissing Area Senior High School; Grace Franco, I-Lead Charter School; William Gilfert, Conrad Weiser High School; John Kauterman, Hamburg Area High School; Kaiya Kizuka, Wilson High School; Zoe Lewis, Antietam High School; Bella Moyer, Daniel Boone Area High School; Laura Ramsey, Governor Mifflin Senior High School; Lydia Reiss, Kutztown Area Senior High School; Elizabeth Reppert, Exeter Township Senior High School; Nicole Reyes, Reading Area Senior High School; Matthew Seidel, Brandywine Heights High School; Nicholas Tomko, Fleetwood Senior High School; and Troy Tranly, Berks Catholic High School.

Many of these recipients will complete their associate degree before transferring to one of RACC’s many college and university partners to complete their bachelor’s degree.
