Stonecliffe Action Park

$10 per camper

Run by the Holistic Skateshop.  Are you a beginner who is eager to learn or do you know the basics but want to learn some new skills?  Spin your wheels and learn advanced street skating/riding techniques and ramp maneuvers.  Participants must provide their own board and helmet- some loaners available. Have you ever been interested in learning how to skateboard? Now’s the time to try out that dream! The Berks County Parks and Recreation and Holistic Skateshop are offering a new instructional class for beginner and intermediate skateboarders under the age of 18.

This week-long camp will meet for two hours each day for one week. Basic skill sets will be taught such as; learning to maintain a skateboard, how to ride different obstacles, skatepark etiquette, and respecting each other at the park. The Action Park will be closed until 11 am while the camp is in session.

Participants are strongly encouraged to bring their own skateboard; however there will be a few loaners will be available for the program. Helmets are required (if a participant does not have a helmet please let us know so arrangements can be made- some loaner helmets will be available). For extra protection, elbow pads and knee pads are strongly encouraged.
