Under the direction of Rita White, Senior Director, Supply Chain, and Ann Paolini, Director, Analytics, Reading Health is strategically using analytics to enhance operations across the health system.
Historically, healthcare organizations face challenges in managing supplies not typically visible within the traditional inventory-management framework. The award recognizes Reading Health Supply Chain’s unconventional and innovative utilization of Infor Lawson technology to effect significant operational improvement.
By manipulating Lawson’s standard replenishment process, Reading Health now captures data at a more detailed level, which provides a more defined report of supply utilization within the organization. This data enables Supply Chain Management to right-size inventories, reduce waste, improve customer satisfaction and drive other innovative improvements.
Infor’s recognition helps establish Reading Health Supply Chain as a leader in the healthcare industry. The award will be announced July 12 in New York City at Infor’s annual worldwide conference.
At the conference, Reading Health’s Rita White, Ann Paolini and Stephanie Tremble will present education sessions highlighting the modified Lawson replenishment process as well as a newly developed automated supply expiration audit process. The expiration audit process currently is being rolled out and will provide accountability, monitoring and documentation for Department of Health and The Joint Commission.
