Tompkins VIST Bank Promotes Waits, Shirk

WYOMISSING, PA –  Tompkins VIST Bank has announced that Stephanie Waits has been promoted to executive assistant to the bank’s president and CEO, Scott Gruber and that Stefanie Shirk has been promoted to vice president and business development officer.

Waits, of Reading, has 18 years of financial services experience.  She joined the bank as a teller and progressed to administrative specialist in the Commercial Lending group, where she supported a team of ten commercial loan officers.

She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from American Military University.

Waits is active in the community, and has chaired the bank’s Muscular Dystrophy Association fundraising committee, which has helped raise $47,500 for MDA. 

Stefanie Shirk has been promoted to vice president and business development officer. She retains her title of branch manager of the Leesport Office. In her role she is responsible for leading the branch’s growth efforts, supervising staff and maintaining good customer relationships.

Shirk, of Lebanon, has 20 years of financial services experience. Before joining Tompkins VIST Bank in May, 2004, she was a customer service representative at Citizens Bank.

She is a graduate of Tompkins VIST Bank’s Professional Development Program and has completed courses provided by the American Bankers Association. 

Active in the community, Shirk is a member of the Greater Reading Chamber of Business and Industry and Women2Women. She also is on the board and serves as executive secretary of The Kings Academy and is a volunteer for the American Cancer Society.
