U.S. News & World Report Names Reading Hospital 7th Ranked Hospital in Pennsylvania

West Reading, PA.– U.S. News & World Report recently ranked Reading Hospital as the 7th highest ranked hospital in Pennsylvania in its 2017-18 regional ranking and ratings report. Out of nearly 250 Pennsylvania hospitals, 27 met the high U.S. News standards and were ranked in the state. “Best Hospital” rankings help consumers better determine which hospitals provide the best care for the most serious or complex medical conditions and procedures. Reading Hospital ranked high among some of the largest and most well-known hospitals in the state.

Along with its exceptional overall ranking, Reading Hospital has also been nationally ranked in one adult specialty and rated as high performing in six adult procedures/conditions, including Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Colon Cancer Surgery, Heart Bypass Surgery, Heart Failure, Hip Replacement and Knee Replacement. U.S. News evaluates data on nearly 5,000 hospitals across 16 adult specialties, 9 adult procedures and conditions and 10 pediatric specialties to determine its annual rankings and ratings report.
