Berks Community Television is pleased to announce that with the commitment of a contribution last week from Weidenhammer, BCTV has officially completed our matching funds challenge! This final pledge is the capstone of a two year fundraising campaign.
In early 2016, the County of Berks agreed to a matching funds campaign with our community media organization, offering $60,000 over two years if we were able to generate matching funds. These dollars were designated to be invested in technology and equipment upgrades necessary to keep the nonprofit organization moving forward and to develop further digital capabilities.
On behalf of our Board of Directors, BCTV would like to recognize the following generous contributors:
Berks County Commissioners
East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc.
Pennsylvania Department of Education
Tompkins VIST Bank
Additionally, we would not have been able to meet our goal without the support of the many individuals who gave generously to the campaign via our website, Go Fund Me, and private contributions. You know who you are – and we cannot thank you enough for your heartfelt support and belief in a bright future for BCTV!
“We are truly grateful to our community for the outpouring of support of this project and the shared excitement for our new endeavors,” said BCTV Executive Director, Heather Adams.
Investments in equipment and installation of new technology have been underway as the campaign unfolded, and BCTV will continue to roll out new opportunities in the studio and online throughout 2017.
