Trifoi Wins MAC Commonwealth Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

ANNVILLE, Pa. – Albright women’s tennis sophomore Mara Trifoi earned MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week honors after her performance last week for the Lions.

Trifoi went 3-0 at No. 1 singles and 2-1 at No. 1 doubles with Amanda Camporeale. Against Penn State-Berks, Trifoi won doubles 8-3, and then was perfect in singles action with a 6-0, 6-0 win. The sophomore won an impressive match against DeSales’ top singles player 7-5, 6-3. Trifoi capped the week with an 8-1 doubles win and a 6-0, 6-3 singles win against Delaware Valley.

Trifoi and the Lions return to action at Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday, Sept. 27 at 3:30 p.m.
