November 3rd Spotlight Night: 13th Annual Juried Studio Artists’ Exhibition Opens

13th Annual Juried Studio Artists' Exhibition

Reading, PA – GoggleWorks Center for the Arts (GoggleWorks) presents the 13th Annual GoggleWorks Juried Studio Artists’ Exhibition in the Irvin & Louis E. Cohen Gallery from October 28 through January 7, 2018. An opening reception will take place on November 3rd from 5:30-7:30pm during GoggleWorks’ free monthly event, Spotlight Night.

“Selected by the exhibition committee, GoggleWorks’ Juried Studio Artists range from emerging to established professionals with national reputations. They work in a variety of mediums in studios provided on the 2nd and 3rd floor of GoggleWorks’ main building. More than just a work space, GoggleWorks’ Juried Studios fosters growth by providing studio artists will a community of professionals in the field willing to engage critically with each other. These artists regularly collaborate within the building and are engaged with the community beyond our walls,” says Lauralynn White, Gallery Director.

The annual exhibition includes watercolor, oil, acrylic, photography, ceramics, sculpture, and multi-media pieces created within the past year by the following artists and alum:

Other exhibitions opening on the evening of November 3rd include The Cup., juried by ceramic artist Kurt Anderson, which features functional drinking vessels from all over the country and will be displayed in the lobby, outside of The Store. Kurt Anderson will present an artist talk in the Boscov Film Theatre at 5:30pm. He will lead a visiting artist workshop, Fauxk: Unique and Inventive Surfaces on November 4-5th.

Reading Skatepark Association presents the RSA Community Art Show in the Cafe Space.

Local photographer Blair Sietz will present One Camera, Seven Lives in the Schmidt Gallery on the second floor.
