Santander Arena Gives Back Initiative to benefit the Reading School District

Santander Arena & Performing Arts Center are teaming up with the Reading School District and #RSDProud to help students receive important school supplies. Beginning with the Miami Hurricanes vs. LaSalle Explorers Basketball game on Wednesday, November 22, the Santander Arena will have collection bins set up at the main entrance. Patrons are encouraged to donate pencils, markers, paper and other supplies on the attached list upon entry to the venue before the game. Additional events will be added to this list.

This supply drive is a part of the Santander Arena Gives Back Initiative, which has included partnership with the Greater Berks Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, Opportunity House and many more organizations over the past two years.

When asked about the program, General Manager, David Farrar said, “Wednesday’s game is about so much more than a basketball game! Lonnie Walker will be back in town, and the entire community will be out in force to celebrate. What better way to pay tribute to his homecoming than to give back to the place where he got his start?”

Donation bins will be available inside the main entrance of the Santander Performing Arts Center and Santander Arena before select shows.  If you’re able, please consider donating some of the items below to support Reading School District:
