Nursing professionals to pursue technology integration at Alvernia University

Healthcare Informatics track offered through university’s MSN program

(READING, PA) — A new Healthcare Informatics track is now available to students pursuing Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degrees at Alvernia University. The university is offering a free lunchtime webinar on Tues., Dec. 5 to answer questions about adult and graduate nursing programs.

Alvernia’s accredited Master of Science in Nursing degree program is designed for professional nurses who are seeking new heights in an ever-expanding healthcare field. Healthcare Informatics track graduates are primed to be integral leaders of technology integration and key decision-makers in changing healthcare systems. Students develop key theoretical and skill competencies in professional practice informatics, regulations, system design life cycle, data management and healthcare technology.

Healthcare Informatics complements the university’s two existing MSN tracks: Nursing Education, for nurses seeking a shift to teaching careers, and Nursing Leadership and Healthcare Administration, for those who strive to develop qualities and skills for nursing leadership.

The university’s flexible scheduling and three semesters available throughout the calendar year allow its MSN students to continue working in clinical practice settings while steadily moving toward obtaining degrees. Alvernia’s MSN courses combine a hybrid of web-based and live classroom work, with professors drawn from diverse nursing fields.
