Comfort Pro Provides a FREE Lennox Heating System To A Deserving Family This Holiday

A Warm Spirit of Giving

Reading, PA – Comfort Pro, Inc. provides a FREE Lennox Heating system to Alice and Joseph Julis of Reading. They are the deserving Berks County family selected as part of the 6th Annual Comfort Pro Cares Event!

After the panel reviewed five nomination letters, site evaluations were conducted by Comfort Pro and the Julis family was selected as the 2017 Comfort Pro Cares recipient.

The Julis family sent two nomination letters to Comfort Pro to receive the new heating system through Comfort Pro Cares.

Alice and Joseph Julis have lived without heat for the past two years. Both elderly, Alice and Joseph live on social security making it impossible to set aside the monies to purchase a new furnace on their limited income. In addition, Joseph has Alzheimer’s that requires round the clock care. The Julis’ daughter and her husband also live at the home where she is the primary caregiver for her father as well as her husband who is on disability.

“All I want is for them to be warm. That is what I want for Christmas. I want them to wake up with a smile on their face,” said Wanda Hargis in her nomination letter.

“With their heating system being non-operational for the past two years, the Julis family has heated their home with electric heaters and the stove which are not only unsafe but also unhealthy,” said Robert Newpher II, Comfort Pro sales manager.

“I had my fingers crossed; I can’t believe we were chosen. I never have that kind of luck. We used electric heaters and the oven when it is really cold, but the whole house is never warm. The new heating system is a blessing to my family, and I can’t thank Comfort Pro enough,” said Alice Julis.

Doug Weisman, president of Comfort Pro, Inc. said, “we received five Comfort Pro Cares nominations this year. It was so moving to read all the letters especially the Julis family’s story and to know Comfort Pro could make a difference in their life especially during the holiday season.”

“At inspection, we identified the Julis not only needed a new furnace but also a new hot water heater as well,” said Newpher. On December 19th, a Comfort Pro team will be replacing the Julis’ current gas furnace and hot water heater

with a new Lennox high efficiency gas furnace and hot water heater valued at approximately $4,300.00.

The nomination letter evaluation panel was Andi Kurzweg, Y102; Robyn Jones, Berks County Living Magazine; Craig Poole, DoubleTree by Hilton Reading; and Sheriff Eric Weaknecht, Berks County Sheriff Department.
