Second Saturday Veterans Program

Second Saturday Veterans Program

Local author Teresa Messineo will discuss her debut novel, “The Fire by Night,” at the Wyomissing Public Library’s Second Saturday Veterans Program on January 13th at 1:00 PM.

Published last January, Messineo tells the tales of two World War II military nurses, one from the streets of New York and the other from Mount Carmel. Their lives and their work take them to parts of the world where they see and do things they would never have seen or done were it not for World War II. The novel illuminates the unsung heroism of women who risked their lives in Europe and in Asia during a horrifying period in history.

Books will be available for sale and for signing at the program, which is free and open to the public. The Wyomissing Public Library is located at 9 Reading Boulevard in Wyomissing.

Registration is requested and may be done at the front desk of the library, by phone at 610-374-2385, or visit our website,www.wyopublib.org.
