BCTV Names Hobert Technician

Berks Community Television is pleased to announce that Shane Hobert has been named Technician, effective January 2, 2018.

“We are pleased to bring Shane onto our full time staff.  He has terrific experience and will certainly bring new ideas and enthusiasm to our team in this role.  It’s great to find local talent to be a part of the future of community media.” said Heather Adams, Executive Director.

At BCTV, Hobert will serve as a studio technician facilitating the telecast of programming on BCTV and the government access channel both on-site and off-site, and will also develop and manage the digital archiving of video content.

“I am excited to be a part of the BCTV team, and look forward to helping provide quality programming for the Berks County community,” Hobert said.

Hobert is a Brandywine Heights graduate, with a degree in Electronic Media from Kutztown University.  While at Kutztown he participated in KUTV productions, and two independent short films.  He has worked for 4 years in game presentation with the Reading Royals, Lehigh Valley Phantoms, and Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs.

He currently resides in Mertztown.
