Fightins Announce 2nd Annual In-Game Marathon & 10K

The Reading Fightin Phils have announced the 2nd Annual In-Game Marathon and 10K presented by Penn State Health St. Joseph and A Running Start by Fleet Feet will be held on Saturday, April 7.  Individuals or teams can compete in their choice of a marathon or 10K run during the Fightins game.

The course will consist of feature multiple areas of FirstEnergy Stadium, including the left field batting tunnel, the main entrance, and the center field hill, for a unique view of the game while you run. After each lap, you have the ability to “tag in” a teammate to run or you can keep running as many times as you want. Each lap around the stadium is a half mile.

•             The Marathon will begin at 4:15 p.m.

•             The 10K will begin at 5:45 p.m.

The Fightin Phils game that day is at 6:05 p.m., so all the races will finish during the game, allowing you to enjoy the game with your friends and family who cheered you on during the race.  There will be a Post-Game Medal Ceremony for all participants and Award Ceremony on the field immediately following the Fightins game to honor the top finishers in each race category.

All Runners Will Receive:

•             1 Race Bib

•             1 T-Shirt (sign up by 3/23 to guarantee your shirt)

•             1 All-You-Can-Eat Deck Buffet Pass

•             1 Beer Voucher (if over 21) / Drink Voucher

•             1 Participation Medal

•             5 General Admission tickets (for you and four guests to cheer you on)

•             Access to Complimentary Foam Roll Calf Massages

Prices:

This event allows you to complete as an individual or as a team, no matter which race distance you participate in.

The cost per person to compete is:

•             $45 (if registered by 3/9)

•             $50 (if registered after 3/9)

Additional Deck Picnic Buffet Tickets may be purchased in addition to a General Admission ticket for $15

The Fightin Phils will be playing the Erie SeaWolves at 6:05 p.m.  Gates open at 4 p.m.  The first 2,000 adults will receive a Rhys Hoskins Bobble Head.
