The Reading Fightin Phils, double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, and Beasley Media Group, Inc. have announced a partnership that will see Fightin Phils games broadcast on 610 AM Sports out of Philadelphia.
The station covers a listening audience from as far west as Lebanon, Pennsylvania to as far east as the New Jersey shore.

It’s exciting to know that Phillies fans throughout the Tri-State Area will be able to listen to Reading Fightins games this season.”
610 AM Sports is the home to The Bull Session with former Philadelphia Phillies and Reading Hall of Famer Greg Luzinski, Villanova University Football and Men’s Basketball, the Delaware 87ers and now the Reading Fightin Phils. The Philadelphia sports station is also the home to prominent ESPN Radio programming such as Golic and Wingo, The Dan Le Batard Show and the Stephen A. Smith Show.

The Fightin Phils radio broadcasts begin on Tuesday, April 3rd when the Fightins will host the Lehigh Valley IronPigs in the annual 222 Showcase at 6:35 p.m. at FirstEnergy Stadium.
The club’s first game of the 2018 season follows two days later on April 5th when the team opens the season at FirstEnergy Stadium against the Erie SeaWolves at 7:05 p.m.
Live coverage begins 30 minutes prior to the start of each Fightin Phils game with the pre-game show hosted by play-by-play announcers Mike Ventola and Gregg Caserta. On Friday’s, the pre-game show is expanded to an hour and will feature exclusive interviews and content from the Reading Fightin Phils organization. Fans will be also be able to listen online on 610amsports.com and fightins.com.
About the broadcasters:
Ventola, 29, will be entering his fifth season as the radio voice of the Reading Fightin Phils. Ventola has broadcast over 550 Fightin Phils games. Prior to his time with the Fightin Phils, Ventola was the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Southern Illinois Miners of the independent Frontier League in 2012 and 2013. He also worked with the Triple-A Lehigh Valley IronPigs in 2011 as a broadcast assistant hosting the pre and post-game shows for the IronPigs Radio Network. Ventola previously spent time with the Reading Fightin Phils as a media relations assistant in 2010. He was also a broadcast and promotions assistant in 2009 with the Single-A Augusta GreenJackets.
Caserta, 28, will be entering his second season as a broadcast and public relations assistant with the Reading Fightin Phils. Caserta previously spent the 2016 season with the Richmond Flying Squirrels, where he provided play-by-play and served as the pre and post-game show host on the Flying Squirrels Radio Network. A native of Harrington Park, New Jersey, Gregg has also broadcasted for the Charlotte Stone Crabs in the Florida State League, the Hudson Valley Renegades in the New-York Penn League, and the St. Paul Saints of the independent American Association.
