On Monday, March 12, 2018 the Wyomissing Public Library will host a program about “Fake News or Facts” with Adam Richter, Digital News Editor at Reading Eagle Company. Richter will  talk about the epidemic of so-called “fake news” and how media consumers can guard against falling for and spreading hoaxes and how to distinguish fact from fiction in all media, including social media.

Prior to joining Reading Eagle Company in 2011, Richter worked at the Express-Times in Easton. In addition to his responsibilities as digital news editor, he writes a bi-weekly column about media issues for the Reading Eagle.

The program will begin at 6:30 pm; it is free and open to the public. Registration is requested; call the library at 610-374-2385 or visit www.wyopublib.org. The Wyomissing Public Library is located at 9 Reading Boulevard in Wyomissing.
