Death Cafe at Wyomissing Public Library

Death Cafe at Wyomissing Public Library

On Saturday, March 17, 2018, at 1 PM the Wyomissing Public Library will host its first “Death Cafe.” The public is invited to join Brian Long, lead coordinator for the Pennsylvania Link to Aging and Mobility Resources for the Berks, Lancaster and Lebanon service area.

Participants will be invited to sit around a table with people they may or may not know, and join the conversation about death and life. This is not a support group; there is no agenda, no sales pitches and no set conclusions. Cake, coffee and tea will be available. The objective is ‘to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives’.

At 3 PM, immediately following the 2-hour Cafe, there will be a free screening of “Consider the Conversation: A Documentary on a Taboo Subject.”

The Death Cafe is free and open to the public. Registration is required and space is limited to 20 participants. To register, call Brian Long at 717-380-9714, or email [email protected]. Registration may also be done by calling the library at 610-374-2385 or online a twww.wyopublib.org. The Wyomissing Public Library is located at 9 Reading Boulevard in Wyomissing.
