KU’s Hunter’s Shutout Earns Him PSAC East Pitcher of the Week

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Junior transfer Michael Hunter threw a shutout over nationally-ranked Lock Haven on April 6, earning him this week’s Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Eastern Division Pitcher of the Week.

Hunter allowed five hits with three strikeouts in seven innings to help KU split its series against nationally-ranked Lock Haven.

This season, Hunter is 4-0 with a 1.44 ERA. He has pitched a team-high 25 innings and holds an 18/15 strikeout/walk ratio. Notably, he has held hitters to a .209 average.

Among PSAC starters, Hunter holds the third-best ERA in the league.

Hunter and the Golden Bears will host a non-conference doubleheader in their next competition, taking on LeMoyne University at home Wednesday, April 11, at 1 p.m
