Operation Renovation: A Veterans Affair

Operation Renovation: A Veterans Affair is an exciting project both funds repairs and makes the repairs to homes in our community that are owned by U.S. veterans and their families.

This community program has offered hope for a better life to those who have sacrificed and served to ensure the safety and security of us all. Over the past three years, over 750 volunteers have come together to work on 125 homes!! The contributions we received have been instrumental in making impactful improvements that will last for generations.

This year is Operation Renovation’s fourth year. During the week of June 24 – 30, 2018, we will be working with youth and adult volunteers from our community to complete home repair projects for senior, disabled, and/or low-income veteran homeowners completely free of charge. We are hoping you will join us as we continue to assist our local veteran community.

We respectfully request your support and participation as we honor the local servicemen and their families. This year, we have several ways for you to be a part of this community event ranging from monetary and in-kind donations to donations of your time.

Volunteers are needed to complete interior and exterior painting jobs and minor home repair projects for local veterans and their families. Let’s show veterans how thankful we are for all they have done. Volunteer as an individual or volunteer as a group

If you are a veteran homeowner in need of home repairs that you are unable to make on your own, you could qualify to have your repairs done free of charge.

Volunteers from community organizations will spend a week in Reading

conducting interior and exterior painting and minor repair projects (excluding plumbing, roofing or electrical work) for veteran homeowners.
