LGBT Center of Reading Offers Grants for Training

Apr 30, 2018
LGBT Center of Greater Reading

The LGBT Center of Greater Reading offers an array of services, programs and events for the LGBT community and our allies.  Besides our 6 support groups, reference/referral, and advocacy, we offer training to social service agencies, businesses and civic organizations.

We’ve been fortunate to partner with the Equality Alliance of Chester County – who has grants available for training.  They’ve offered to open the grants to Berks County!

If you’re interested in having the LGBT Center of Greater Reading present a training for your agency/business, please click the link below and simply fill out the very short application for a grant.

If selected, LGBT Equality Alliance will organize and fund a educational training session for your place of work. Trainers can focus on a variety of LGBTQ topics, such as:

LGBT 101 / TerminologyTransgender IssuesAging LGBT PopulationLGBT Inclusion in Schools / WorkplacesMagnitude of OppressionBest Practices in working with LGBT students, clients, et al.

Training can be tailored to your specific needs and if you take advantage of the grant – there’s NO COST TO YOU!  The link is:
