Tire Collection Events Aim to Control Mosquito Population

A single tire can produce more than 10,000 mosquitoes in a single season. All mosquitoes need water to live and breed. Remove water…remove mosquitoes!

There will be a free tire collection for Berks County residents and farmers. The event will be held at two locations on Friday, May 18th. See links below with flyers for details.

Collection of large tires (40 to 70 inch diameter)

Collection of car and light truck tires (up to 35 inch diameter).

Event is free, appointments are required!

Things you need to know:

~ You are limited to 10 Tires; tires in excess of 10 will not be accepted.

~ Tires with rims will not be accepted; all tires shall be free of water, dirt and foreign objects.

~ Appointments are required; no one will be accepted without an approved appointment.

~ Please email your completed form to [email protected], you will receive an email confirming an appointment and details of location for collection.

~ Appointments are made on a first come first served basis.
