Public is invited to free hernia screening at Penn State Health St. Joseph

Reading, Pa. — Penn State Health St. Joseph surgeons will conduct free hernia screenings on Monday, June 11 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on the hospital’s Bern Township campus.

The screenings will be preceded by a 20 minute talk on what hernias are, signs and symptoms of the different types of hernias and the available surgical intervention options.

Appointments for the screenings are required and can be made by calling St. Joseph at 610-378-2001.

The Bern Township campus is located at 2500 Bernville Road, Reading, Pa., 19605.
