Learn more about the Reading School District’s new online program

An extension of Reading School District, Reading Virtual Academy is a tuition-free cyber school that provides flexible online and blended learning options for RSD students in grades 6-12.

The virtual academy is perfect for students who excel in a non-traditional setting because they can set their own schedule, work at their own pace and study at home or in the RVA Learning Lab, located in the ROCC Building at 800 Penn Street. Students receive a Chromebook and can take general, credit recovery or Advanced Placement courses.

Unlike other cyber school options, students enrolled in RVA have access to all district services including, ESL, Special Education and School Counselors. RVA students can also receive face-to-face assistance and tutoring from RSD teachers at the Learning Lab.

RVA students remain a Red Knight and can attend Reading-Muhlenberg Career and Technology Center, as well as participate in all district clubs, sports, field trips, extracurricular activities and events, including RHS Graduation and Prom. Once students complete their required credits, they receive a Reading High School diploma.

For more information, attend an upcoming Open House or visit ReadingSD.org/virtualacademy.
