Main branch, Fifth and Franklin streets

Reading, PA –   An original dance production, “But we’re Still Here” will be held on The Steps @ Main Library, 100 S. 5th St. on Saturday, July 7 at 12 pm.  This third annual Storytelling through Dance presentation is an adaptation of the Three Little Pigs story that will concentrate on themes of immigration, abusive relationships, and wage theft.  Choreography will mix Latinx rhythms with non-Latinx dance forms including lyrical, bachata, tango, salsa, and hip hop.

For the third year, Barrio Alegria has partnered with Reading Public Library to engage community members through the arts, often compelling individuals into areas unfamiliar and challenging to them.  Dancers will be joined by performers from AIM, Opportunity House, and M.A.K.S., the Musical Acts of Kindness Society.

There is no charge for admission and seating is general admission on The Steps @ Main.
