A THOUSAND Thanks!
United Way of Berks County thanks everyone involved with this year’s event for being a part of Big Cheese 4 and helping to fight hunger in our community.
More than 1,000 volunteers packaged over 500,000 mac & cheese and rice & bean meals in just 6 hours. The meals will be distributed through the Weekender Backpack program via the Greater Berks Food Bank and by the Reading School District to students most-in-need.
Our volunteers are awesome! Big Cheese 4 is the largest event of its kind organized by a United Way nationwide, and the largest overall within the northeast U.S. by any organization. Your incredible energy and enthusiasm makes all of this possible.
