Consignment Sale

WEST LAWN, PA – On August 24-25, West Lawn United Methodist Church will host its 13th bi-annual children’s and maternity consignment sale. It’s the only sale of its kind to give away ALL profits, as well as donated clothing, to local charities. This sale’s beneficiary will be Family Promise of Berks County. Past recipients, receiving a combined $38+-thousand dollars, have included City Light Ministries, New Journey Community Outreach, Bridge of Hope, Mercy, The Ronald McDonald House and The Rudden Family Foundation. In addition, the sale helps keep thousands (100K and counting) of items of clothing, toys and equipment out of landfills, which is good news for the environment!

The spring sale will be open to the public on August 24-25, with many items selling at half-price from 8am-noon on the 25th. Consignors and invited guests (a.k.a. BFF’s) can shop on August 23, beginning at 4 p.m. The event takes place at the West Lawn UMC Community Center, located at 101 Woodside Avenue, one block behind the Sanctuary and Education Buildings, in West Lawn.

Consigners are invited to sell gently-used children’s and maternity clothing, shoes, toys, infant supplies and furniture, books, movies and anything else related to or used by kids. In return, consigners will earn a percentage of their sales, with the opportunity to maximize earnings as a volunteer. Anyone interested in consigning can still sign up on our website: www.faithfulfriendssale.com.

The Faithful Friends ministry and sale committee consists of a team of eighteen women, all mothers of elementary-aged and younger children.
