Reading Public Library Sponsoring Comic Book Illustration Workshop

Reading, PA – On Monday, August 6, Reading Public Library will partner with the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) and Dollar General Literacy Foundation to provide a teen workshop on comic book art. The workshop will be held at the RPL Teen Loft, Main Library, 100 S. 5th St., from 11 am to 2 pm with lunch and materials provided.  

Digital artist, author, and painter, Jean Esther will conduct the workshop that will culminate in participants making their own comic book panel.

Reading Public Library will hold a writing contest throughout the summer open to all teens in the Reading School District.  Participation in the workshops is encouraged but not required to participate in the contest.
