The Wyomissing Public Library will offer a free, 3-hour computer class on Tuesday, August 14th starting at 9 AM and ending at 12 noon. Participants who have their own laptops should bring them; the library has five laptop computers available for participants who do not own one.

The class will be taught by Benjamin Chen as part of his Eagle Scout project. Mr. Chen is a senior at Wyomissing Area Junior Senior High School who recently completed the Governor’s School for Excellence in the Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University. He has led coding competitions at the Pennsylvania Computer Fair and at Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s ZeroRobotics competition.

Mr. Chen will teach basic computer skills, image editing, Microsoft Office Tools and Scratch, and will be available to answer questions. The class is open to middle and high school students, and adults.

Registration is required and may be done online or by calling the library at 610-374-2385.
