The Cuban artist that citizens have been working to bring to Goggleworks Center for the Arts as a resident artist arrived about a week ago. He has now completed a 6 section mural for West Reading.
Next week he will move to working on another found objects mural for Goggleworks. He will be holding several workshops and working with students at Wilson school to create a mural. He will also have engagements at RACC, Penn State and Albright.
Julio Cepeda is from Trinidad, Cuba. The Julio Cepeda exhibition committee worked for three years on fundraising and visa application to bring Julio here to the US. He has been working for three years on his exhibition which will open at Goggleworks on September 7, from 5 to 8 o’clock in the evening.
