Tompkins VIST Bank Promotes Anthony Sabolis and Travis Werley

WYOMISSING, PA – Tompkins VIST Bank has announced the following promotions:

Anthony Sabolis

Anthony Sabolis has been promoted to senior vice president and manager, Commercial Lending. He previously was vice president.  In his new role, he will manage commercial relationship-building efforts in the bank’s Berks and Schuylkill marketplace.

Sabolis has 36 years of experience in financial services. Before joining Tompkins VIST Bank in 2010, he was employed by Susquehanna Bank. 

Sabolis is a graduate of Albright College and the Pennsylvania School of Banking at Bucknell University.

Active in community and professional organizations, he supports the Greater Reading Chamber Alliance, Bethany Children’s Home, Law Foundation of Berks County and the southeastern Pa. chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Travis Werley

Travis Werley has been promoted to senior vice president and manager, Agricultural Lending.  He formerly was vice president and agribusiness specialist. In his new role, he will continue to develop relationships with farms and agri-businesses throughout the bank’s marketplace and supervise a growing staff.

Werley has 24 years of agricultural banking experience. Before joining Tompkins VIST Bank in 2014 to better serve the bank’s farm customers, he was with Fulton Bank. In the last four years, he has grown the bank’s list of agribusiness clients substantially and has added another agricultural specialist to his department.

Werley has a B.S. in Agricultural Business with a minor in Large Animal Science from Delaware Valley College and an M.B.A. from Lebanon Valley College. 

An experienced farmer, he and his family own and operate a 350-acre crop operation in Berks County. He also is active in the Berks Agricultural Resource Network and is an adult leader in the Berks County 4-H Dairy Beef Club.
