Reutlingen to Reading, a Sister City Town Hall

On Tuesday, October 2 at 9:30 a.m. EDT, Berks Community Television (BCTV) will telecast a 30-minute live international Town Hall meeting in conjunction with Reading’s sister city, Reutlingen Germany.

The live ‘town hall’ will be telecast on Reading Municipal Access Channel Comcast 99, Berks Community Television – Comcast Channel 15, Comcast Southern Berks 965, and Service Electric 19.

A delegation of local Reading leaders is traveling to Germany this week to meet with their peers and discuss exchange programs, expansion of the international partnership, and other shared projects. Representatives from Reading include City Councilwoman Marcia Goodman-Hinnerschitz, City Councilwoman Donna Reed, Greater Reading Chamber Alliance President Randy Peers, Reading School District Superintendent Dr Khalid Mumin and former City of Reading Mayor Tom McMahon.

Dave Kline, Executive Director Circulation & Promotions: Reading Eagle Company & Reading Eagle Newspaper and President:  WEEU Radio & Pretzel City Productions, LLC will moderate the discussion at the BCTV studio, joined by other guests with ties to the Reutlingen-Reading partnership.

In Reutlingen, hosts and the Reading delegation will be joined on air by special guest Mayor Bosch.

“We are thrilled to collaborate with our local leaders on this telecast, and excited to host an international conversation on our community media channels,” said BCTV Executive Director Heather Adams.

This telecast will also stream live on bctv.org and be included on BCTV’s YouTube channel after the airing at www.youtube.com/user/BCTVORG1
