ANNVILLE, Pa. – Albright women’s soccer forward Lauren Haley earned her third MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week honor this season as announced by the league office on Monday, Oct. 8.

Haley became the first Albright player since Anne Curry in 2005 to record two hat tricks in a single season when she scored a trio of goals in a 4-1 win over Hood on Tuesday, Oct. 2. The Boyertown, Pa., native had previously scored a hat trick in a 5-2 victory over Marywood on Sept. 1. Haley leads the Lions with ten goals and is the first player since Curry in 2006 to record double-digit goals in a season. The 10 goals rank second in the MAC Commonwealth behind Messiah’s Brooke Firestone who has 11.

This comes a week after Albright swept the weekly awards as junior midfielder Jillian Lapidus and senior defender Erica Bross earned the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week honors. Haley had previously been named Offensive Player of the Week for the weeks of Aug. 27 – Sept. 2 and Sept. 3-9.

The Lions are back in action on Wednesday, Oct. 10 when Arcadia comes to Shirk Stadium for a MAC Commonwealth tilt at 7 p.m.
