Albright to Host Dig Pink Match on Oct. 18

The Albright volleyball team will host its Dig Pink match to promote breast cancer awareness on Thursday, Oct. 18 when the Lions host Ursinus at 7 p.m.

In an effort to raise awareness and funds for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, there will be a number of gift baskets raffled off featuring Vera Bradley, Yankee Candle, Albright Bookstore, Unique Pretzel, and Vineyard Vines among others. 

Susan G. Komen is the only organization that addresses breast cancer on multiple fronts such as research, community health, global outreach and public policy initiatives in order to make the biggest impact against this disease. To date, the organization has invested more than $2.6 billion in groundbreaking research, community health outreach, advocacy and programs in more than 60 countries. Their efforts helped reduce death rates from breast cancer by 37 percent from 1990-2013.

The Lions return to action at home on Wednesday, October 17 against Hood at 7 p.m. for senior night.
