ReadingFilmFEST presents inaugural FiveMinuteFilmFEST

Reading, PA – ReadingFilmFEST, presented by The Edwin Barbey Charitable Trust, debuted its inaugural FiveMinuteFilmFEST – a film competition for Berks County High School students with 50 guests at the WCR Center, on October 18. Thanks, in support by a grant from the Berks County Community Foundation, this event encouraged young filmmakers to explore the world of filmmaking and screen their films during their own private reception. The first place films in each category will also screen during ReadingFilmFEST’s StudentFEST at Reading Movies & IMAX on November 1st at 6:30 PM.

All Berks County students are encouraged to attend ReadingFilmFEST (student passes are free to students with ID). This year’s festival will include a Student Assembly with filmmaker Erik Bloomquist on Friday November 2nd at 9 AM at the Miller Center at RACC.
