Annville, Pa. – Alvernia University placed seven student-athletes to the MAC Fall Sportsmanship Team, as announced on Nov. 15 by the MAC Office.
Junior Tyler Barrett and sophomore Susanna Pirollo were selected for Men’s and Women’s Cross Country. Receiving the honor for Men’s and Women’s Soccer were seniors Mitch Kinek and Annie Rose. Junior Brianna Buckley was selected for Field Hockey, and senior Jill Baker earned the honor for Women’s Volleyball. Football freshman Owen Morton rounded out the selections for Alvernia.
The MAC Sportsmanship Teams recognize student-athletes who exemplify great character and demonstrate the act of sportsmanship both and off the field. These student-athletes were selected by the head coaches from their respective teams. They represent their team, institution and the conference with high integrity, and exhibit respect for themselves, teammates, coaches and opponents. The teams include one student-athlete from each institution for each sport, including men’s cross country, women’s cross country, field hockey, football, men’s soccer, women’s soccer and women’s volleyball in the Fall All-Sportsmanship Team selections.
