Winners of Reading Downtown Improvement District Holiday Parade Announced

Reading, Pa. – The Reading Downtown Improvement District has announced the winners of the annual Holiday Parade held on Saturday, November 17 along Penn Street in Reading.

Here are the winners:

Corporate Floats:
1st: BB&T/Reading Fightin’ Phils Mascot Band
2nd: Carpenter Technology Corporation
3rd: Savage 61/Christmas on the Mountain

Community/Civic Floats:
1st: Dance Expressions
2nd: Reading High Key Club
3rd: Abilities In Motion

Youth Groups:
1st: Dance Expressions
2nd: Olivet Boys & Girls Club
3rd: Reading Recreation Commission/COR Tennis

Bands:
1st: Exeter High School Band
2nd: Fleetwood High School Band
3rd: Reading High School Band

This year’s parade theme was “Shine Bright, Reading.”

The 2018 Reading Holiday Parade will be aired on the following dates and times:

BCTV Replays (and streaming on bctv.org):
THANKSGIVING Thursday, November 22nd at noon & 8 p.m.
Friday, November 23rd at 5 p.m.
Saturday, November 24th at 11 a.m. & 10 p.m.

City of Reading MAC replays:
THANKSGIVING Thursday, November 22nd at 9 a.m. & 6 p.m.
Friday, November 23rd at noon
Saturday, November 24th at 8 a.m. & 7 p.m.
