CHILDREN & FAMILY EVENTS:

Baby Lapsits Storytime

Tuesday, December 4th, 9:30 a.m. – 10 a.m.

Exeter Community Library 4569 Prestwick Drive, Reading, PA 19606 

AGES: Infant to age 1 (pre-walking)

Baby Lapsits is designed for meaningful one-on-one interaction between baby and caregiver. Caregivers hold their babies in their laps while the librarian leads the group in a variety of lap songs, rhymes and simple stories.

 

Toddler Storytime

Wednesday, December 5th, 10 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.

AGES: Walking to 3 Years

Early reading success begins right here. Toddlers will enjoy stories, songs, finger plays, activities, and crafts as we sing and read together with friends.

 

Read to Our Reptile & Open House
Wednesday, December 5th, 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.

AGES: 4 and older

Make an appointment for your little one to read to Dan Delion, our tortoise! Individual appointments can be made by visiting the circulation desk or calling 610-406-9431 (10 min/per child/family). Your child can also visit just to feed and pet Dan, and tell him about their day!

 

Preschool Storytime

Preschool Storytime is all about having fun with engaging books, songs and activities as children build their early literacy skills.

 

Family Dance Party

AGES: Parent or caregiver with child ages 8 & under

Bring your dancing shoes as we engage your body and mind with educational & toe-tapping songs. We warm up by singing and greeting each other. Then we’ll tap along to the beat with instruments. We’ll bring out some fun props like scarves, ribbons, or a parachute. It’s 30 minutes of nonstop fun!

Come explore a new set of STEAM toys each month with your child. This program is designed for you and your child to interact with toys and explore creative problem solving and critical thinking through play. Each month the toys will change and engage any or all of the following subjects: science, technology, engineering, arts, or math.

Make, Take, & Enjoy – Hand-Painted Signs
