RKL Wealth Management’s Peer to Receive Take the Lead Berks County Award

WYOMISSING, PA – RKL Wealth Management LLC, a subsidiary of RKL LLP, today announced that Laurie Peer, CPA, CFP®, has been named one of Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania’s (GSEP) 2019 “Take the Lead Berks County” award recipients. This girl-led annual ceremony highlights GSEP’s mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character and honors regional women leaders whose work and achievements exemplify these values.

“Laurie’s gift for mentoring her colleagues and supporting their personal and professional development has enriched our firm, just as her philanthropic leadership has benefitted the greater Berks area,” noted Edward W. As President of RKL Wealth Management, Peer oversees firm operations, drives its growth strategy and leads a team of more than 20 professionals. She also focuses on enhancing the integration of client experience between RKL Wealth Management and the CPA and business advisory services offered by RKL. Peer has 25 years of specialized experience in individual taxation and financial planning. Since joining the firm in 1992, she has played an integral role in the creation and growth of RKL’s wealth management and financial planning services.

Peer is a Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania, holds the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation and earned her B.S. in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University. She belongs to the Reading Chapter of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and serves as Board Member and Treasurer for the Berks County Estate Planning Council.

A resident of Alsace Township, Peer is actively engaged in Berks area philanthropic causes. She currently serves as a Board Member and sits on the Strategic Planning, Investment and Planned Giving committees for the United Way of Berks County. Peer is a longstanding supporter and original Steering Committee Member of The Power of the Purse Charitable Fund, a charitable giving circle aimed at empowering women and girls through education and employment.
