Albright alumnus John Scholl ’69 will be recognized during halftime of the Albright men’s basketball game against Alvernia on Wednesday, January 16.
Scholl will be acknowledged in honor of the 50th anniversary of his single-game scoring record of 54 points for Albright men’s basketball, a record that still stands to this day. He registered the 54 points against Lycoming on January 4, 1969. In addition to the points record, Scholl set single-game school records for field goals (21) and field goals attempted (32) as well.
Scholl was a two-sport athlete at Albright playing both men’s basketball and track & field. He was named to the Albright Athletics Hall of Fame in 1994.
In addition to the ceremony, all Albright alumni are eligible to receive a free ticket to both the men’s and women’s basketball games against the crosstown rival Golden Wolves that night thanks to the Albright College Alumni Association.
With the game taking place during the January interim session and most students not back on campus yet, help us fill the Bollman Center and cheer on the Lions!
All alumni must pre-register for their free ticket by noon on Tuesday, January 15 using the following link: https://albright.360alumni.com/events/view/4955
