Updated: & BCTV Join Forces to Televise Berks High School Basketball

We apologize for any confusion, the January 17th game was not aired on our channels due to a scheduling and availability issue that was unforeseen.  Thank you for understanding!

Reading, PA: in conjunction with Alvernia University and BCTV has announced that four upcoming Berks County high school basketball games will be televised live on local cable channel BCTV.  The coverage will be presented by as part of their #berksbeat coverage with video production by students of Alvernia University.

The following game date matchups will kickoff off this partnership:

  • Dec 20th – Gov. Mifflin at Exeter
  • Jan 10th – Muhlenberg at Reading High
  • Jan 17th – Wilson at Reading High
  • Jan 25th – Exeter at Reading High  (see note above)

These select games will be telecast live on BCTV (Comcast 15, Comcast Southern Berks 965, Service Electric 19) with coverage beginning at 7:25 p.m., tip off at 7:30 p.m., and will also stream live on  This program is being underwritten by Reading Alloys.

BCTV Executive Director Heather Adams added, “Partnering on this project with and Alvernia University is very exciting for us at BCTV.  We wanted to explore more sports coverage, and this opportunity made it a reality.  It is a friendly and educational partnership to bring local sports into homes across Berks County on television and online.  We are eager to start with these four basketball games and hopefully grow the project collaboration into a larger schedule and other sporting events.”
